Lana’s research identified and validated novel predictive and diagnostic biomarkers for preeclampsia, leading to the development of a first-in-class point-of-care testing platform designed to support earlier detection and improved clinical decision-making.
Advanced Placental Disease Models
She led the development of the world’s first 3D bioprinted placental organoid models and advanced placenta-on-a-chip technologies, creating clinically relevant platforms for drug screening, biomarker discovery, and disease modelling.

Lana’s translational research contributed to the advancement of ALM201, a novel ovarian cancer therapeutic that progressed to Phase I clinical evaluation and received FDA Orphan Drug Designation for ovarian cancer.
